ABOUT

Tim Scott McConnell aka Ledfoot, is an American singer-songwriter. He has been touring, performing and releasing records for over forty years with bands such as `The Rockats` and `The Havalinas` and has released numerous solo records. 

 

Tim Scott McConnell started touring at the age of 15. He got his first recording contract with Sire Records in 1982. He then recorded for Geffen on his next record in 1985, called "High Lonesome Sound". McConnell headed the LA-based band The Havalinas. The band recorded one album The Havalinas and a live album called Go North. After the break-up of The Havalinas, McConnell did a series of solo albums and toured with a band. In 2007, he released his first Ledfoot album and started touring heavily in Europe solo. He plays mainly solo with the Ledfoot project up until today.

 

He has also written and co-written songs for many artists like - `TNT` , `Highasakite` , `Sheena Easton, `Aunt Mary` and most notably had a worldwide number one song with Bruce Springsteen covering his song `High Hopes` as the title track of his 2014 release.


Ledfoot came into being more than ten years ago using heavy strings on a twelve string guitar in open tunings and a pair of stomp boxes, inventing the 'gothic blues' genre. In this incarnation he has toured extensively in Europe and the U.S.. Ledfoot has released 4 records to critical acclaim - `The Devils Songbook`, `Damned, `Gothic Blues Volume One’ and his newest release `White Crow` which won the Norwegian Grammy (Spellemann) for 2019 in the blues category.
He also has a reoccurring role in the Norwegian hit series EXIT on NRK.


Currently Tim is working on the soundtrack for EXIT season 2 where he will also play one of the bad-ass characters. 

He’s also working on his next solo project and he release a duet record ‘A Death Divine’ with Ronni Le Tekrø in autumn 2020.
